Persuasive Writing

We have been learning how to persuade people by writing interesting arguments. Here is one example written by Sama.

We should make more of an effort to pronounce Te Reo Māori correctly.

Māori are the indigenous people of New Zealand. They have looked after our country really well for all of these years.

To thank them, we should pronounce their words right. Saying words correctly shows respect to all countries, so we should try for Māori too. We can’t replace Te Reo once it is gone, so try and try and you will get it right. Te Reo Māori was the first language of New Zealand until the English people came and took over.

Try TeReo so you can show that you care.
