Staring at the Mountains
I gaze up at the sky and it reminds me of plain elephant's skin. The sky is as blue as a sapphire glinting in the sunshine. I sniff the air and the smell of fresh air fills my nose like a vacuum cleaner being stuffed up with rubbish. Birds are quietly chirping in my ears. I wonder, 'What is up in the mountains ahead of me?' I am very excited because I have been wanting to go on a trip like this for months.

Our reflection:
James has used really good describing words, especially similes and verbs- gaze, chirped, quietly.
