Weekly Catch Up

LEARNING CONFERENCES
A big thank you to all the parents who were able to come along to the Learning conferences today. We have all been impressed with how well the children have been able to articulate thier learning and identify their new goals.
The school closes again at 2pm tomorrow, and if you haven't yet made a learning conference time, it is still not too late. You can make a booking by either going to school links or ringing Jackie at the office.

HOME LEARNING ON DISPLAY
Our team has taken over the office to celebrate our home learning that has been happening in our team. The items on display are just a small random sample from each of our rooms. Feel free to pop in to the office and view some of the amazing home learning projects. The children are all so motivated about this topic and it has been pleasing to see such an array of space themed items. Thank you so much for your support with this!

JELLY AND ICE CREAM
This is tomorrow, Thursday 5th September. Tickets will be on sale outside the flagpole from 8:30am. All proceeds will go to the Year 7&8 Dunedin camp in 2013.

BOOK FAIR
Just a reminder that the book fair is on this week in Room 11. You are able to view the book fair before school and after school and it will also be open during the Learning Conferences.
On Friday, the children will be able to come to school dressed up as their favourite book character. If you are stuck for ideas, feel free to chat to your class teachers as they have many simple ideas that you can do!

SANTA MARIA
Next week it will be Room 7's day to visit Santa Maria Rest home. If you are able to help out with this visit, please see Paulette. We know our elderly friends love this time and really enjoy seeing the children.
